Mutiny Brands & Services T/A Jasper' sCatering Services (company registration number 14702218) Jasper’s are committed to protecting and respecting your personal information, privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. The information that you share with us is very important and we want you to be confident that any data is kept safely and securely and to understand how we use it to benefit you and our communication with you.

  • How and why Jasper’s collects information from you;
  • Who we share your information with, why and on what basis; and

Jasper’s will be what is known as the ‘Data Controller’ of the data you provide to us, and we will sometimes refer to ourselves in this notice as “we” or “us”. By Data Controller, this means Jasper’s determines the purposes and way in which any personal data is, or will be, processed.

Should you need to contact Jasper’s Head Office at any point regarding any data we hold about you, your company or what we have done with that data, or indeed if you would like us to delete or change that data then please email customer@jaspersonline.co.uk and write ‘GDRP’ in the subject line. Please provide your company name and the method in which you wish us to contact you regarding your request.

Some of our catering outlets are operated by our licenseees who are independent businesses operating under licence from us. This Privacy Policy applies to not only us, but also to all of our licensees in relation to your personal data held by us and our franchisees.

How we collect information from you

We obtain information about you when you use our website, when you provide it to us or to our licensees, or, occasionally, from third parties.

The information we collect and why

When we first engage with you it is to find out if you have a legitimate need or interest for the products and services that Jasper’s offers. When you confirm that you have a legitimate interest or need for our products and services, we will seek your permission to engage with you at a further date either by telephone, email or face to face. An account will need to be set up with Jasper’s so that you can trade with us. For us to do this, we will ask you to provide some information such as:

  • Your full name
  • Job title
  • Company name
  • Business sector
  • Company address
  • Your date of birth (day and month only)
  • Contact telephone numbers
  • Email address(es)
  • Website address
  • Number of people on site


If you make a payment to us online, your payment details are not held by us but are collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of such transactions.

To enable us to undertake your order page personalisation, we will also gather information about the devices you use to access our website (desktop and mobile), and this may include the IP address. For further information on our use of cookies and tracking – please see our Cookie Noticebelow.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive marketing information from us. If you want to receive communications from us, then you should tick the relevant boxes on the form which we collect your personal information from when we first have an appointment with you.

Where your is data stored

Your data is stored on our own CRM system which only we have access to. Any proposal documents are scanned and saved against this system and are also then stored securely at our offices. Once we update your proposal we will delete or shred your old proposal and dispose of it correctly.

How we use your information

Data Protection says that we are allowed to use and share your personal data only where we have a proper reason to do so. The law says we must have one or more of these reasons and these are:

  • Contract: your personal information is processed in order to fulfil a contractual arrangement for example in order to send you invoices, up to date brochures and offers relating to your legitimate interests.
  • Consent: where you agree to us using your information in this way eg birthday cards, invoicing and delivery
  • Legitimate interests: this means the interests of Jasper’s in managing our business to allow us to provide you with the best products and service in the most secure and appropriate way

Who we share your information with

Jasper’s does not share your data with any third parties that are outside of our reasonable business commitments to you. We will not sell your information to third parties. We may provide your information to processors with whom we have entered into written contracts which require them to comply in all respects with the requirements of this Privacy Policy and all legal requirements relating to information privacy.

Some examples of the categories of third parties with whom we share your data are:

Supplier partners

We may for certain orders and delivery, share your business details with a supplier to ship items direct to you and your place of work.

Credit Reference Agencies

When you open an account with us we may use third party credit reference agencies who will make searches about you. We do this to make sure customers who apply for credit accounts are able to manage the level of credit offered and do not commit fraud by providing false or inaccurate information. We do this to assess your creditworthiness and product suitability, check your identity, manage your account, trace, recover debts, and prevent criminal activity.

We may exchange company data with CRA’s if required.

Debt recovery and fraud prevention services

Before we provide services or products to you, we may undertake checks for the purposes of preventing fraud and money laundering, and to verify your identity. These checks would require us to process personal data about you.

The personal data you have provided, we have collected from you, or we have received from third parties will be used to prevent fraud and money laundering, and to verify your identity.

Details of the personal information that will be processed may include: name, address, date of birth, contact details, employment details, device identifiers including IP address.

We and fraud prevention agencies may also enable law enforcement agencies to access and use your personal data to detect, investigate and prevent crime.

We process your personal data on the basis that it is necessary in the public interest or in exercising official authority for us to prevent fraud and money laundering, and to verify identity, in order to protect ourselves and to comply with laws that apply to us.

Fraud prevention agencies can hold your personal data for different periods of time, and if you are considered to pose a fraud or money laundering risk, your data can be held for up to six years.

Consequences of processing:
If we, or a fraud prevention agency, determine that you pose a fraud or money laundering risk, we may refuse to provide the services you have requested or we may stop providing existing services to you.

A record of any fraud or money laundering risk will be retained by the fraud prevention agencies, and may result in others refusing to provide services, financing or employment to you. If you have any questions about this, please contact us on the details above.

Data transfers:
Whenever fraud prevention agencies transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area, they impose contractual obligations on the recipients of that data to protect your personal data to the standard required in the European Economic Area. They may also require the recipient to subscribe to ‘international frameworks’ intended to enable secure data sharing.

Your rights

Your personal data is protected by legal rights, which include your rights to object to our processing of your personal data; request that your personal data is erased or corrected; request access to your personal data.

Transfers to third countries

Your data is held in the UK on our systems which are hosted on secure and legitimate UK servers. At no point will Jasper’s share or transfer your data to other countries without prior notification.

Jasper’s works with suppliers and partners who may make use of cloud and/or hosted technologies. We undertake data security due diligence on our partners and ensure that that these partners conform to appropriate accreditations. These partners will not use your data for any purposes other than ensuring that Jasper’s systems work for you and our relationship with you.

Keeping in touch with you

Jasper’s want to keep you up to date with information about new services, product and menu ranges, special offers, improvements to our website and systems. When we engage with you, we will ask you if you want to receive this type of marketing information.

Jasper’s will not share your information with companies outside of our own business and people for their marketing purposes. We will not resell or share your data with third parties for them to use without your permission.

If you decide you do not want to receive this marketing information from Jasper’s then please email customer@jaspersonline.co.uk and include ‘Marketing removal’ in the subject line or call 0330 445 1111 and provide us with details on how you wish us to respond, to confirm we have undertaken your request.

You may continue to receive mailings for a short period while your request is dealt with.

How long we keep your information

If we collect your personal information, the length of time we retain it is determined by a number of factors including the purpose for which we use that information and our obligations under other laws.

We may need your personal information to establish, bring or defend legal claims or due to government institution requirements like HMRC. For this purpose, we will always retain your personal information for 7 years after the date it is no longer needed by us for any of the purposes listed under ‘How we use your information’ above. The only exceptions to this are where:
